I really enjoy the challenge of creating something that is truly personal to the person receiving it. Group gifts can often feel impersonal, and I can struggle to contribute financially. Instead, I enjoy channelling my energy and emotion into a piece of craftsmanship.

Embroidery is not just a craft; it’s a way to pour my heart into something tangible that carries meaning.

I created a hoop for a teacher who is leaving due to unforseen circumstances. This was drawn by the students that she had in reception last year, who are now in year 1. Everything on the hoop has been drawn by students within the class, I have just simply put it together in this composition and added 'Thank You'.

I've used similar colours to those used by the students and a variety of stitches to give an extra layer of interest and texture.

This hoop bought me so much joy to create, and I loved creating something healtfelt for the teacher.
